After yesterday's long ride, I needed a lighter day and my lower back was really tight after so much time in the aerobars. I went to the gym for a 4-mile recovery run.
The first mile reminded me how spent my legs were, but they bounced back and I settled into a comfortable groove and ran each mile progressively faster. Following the run, I did about 20 minutes of core work and stretching. I left the gym feeling great and looking forward to the rest of the week's training.
